RELATED: Michael and JanвЂ™s Relationship Is The Office At Its Most Depressing Cathy eventually stayed in JimвЂ™s room, making numerous signals that made him feel uncomfortable. вЂњThey were very comfortable with the show they were getting, and I had to worry about giving them a bad ending so theyвЂ™d be happy if they got a happy ending.вЂќДaniels explained that the cheating storyline would take place in the Season 8 episode titled вЂњAfter Hours.вЂќ In the episode, Jim spent more time with Cathy Simms, who covered Pam while she was on maternity leave. I think they knew what was coming,вЂќ he said. вЂњI feel like that kind of worry was good for the fansвЂ™ engagement. Greg Daniels, who has adapted The office for the United States and served as the showвЂ™s producer, gave his opinion on why Pam and JimвЂ™s problems were necessary.
